CONNIE RUSSELL – Cheerleading Compeition Judge

Connie has been actively involved in the cheerleading industry for the past 40 years. She received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Cheerleader Magazine, one of only two given nationally. She has been featured and published in the JUCO Review, the Washington Times of the AAJCC and American Cheerleader Magazine. Connie is the former coach of Trinity Valley Community College where she coached the cheer squad to 5 National Championship titles at NCA’s College Nationals. She also assisted with the production of the 1996 Olympic Cheer Team at the Opening Ceremonies of the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the President of the Japan Songleading and Dance Association in Tokyo, Japan, and was the Performance Director for the Formula One Grand Prix Race in Suzuka City, Japan and the Performance Director for the Ontario Cheerleading Federation Championships in Toronto, Canada.   Presently, Connie is a member of the USASF Rules Committee, judges for Mardi Gras Spirit Events and is currently the Judging Coordinator for The Coastal Corporation, based in Baltimore, Maryland.
